Mrs. Melissa Garnett To All Instructors

      Mrs. Melissa Garnett has been homeschooling her kids since 2020 and joined S.H.A.R.E. shortly after.  Before becoming a stay at home mom, she was a teacher in the Rockwood School District's Gifted program for eight years.  She taught an Architecture Unit to fifth graders, as well as numerous electives to third, fourth, and fifth graders on topics including Grimm's fairy tales, mosquitoes, therapy dogs, the Equations math game, stamp collecting, and upcycling clothing, among others.  She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education with a minor in French from the University of Missouri in Columbia in 2006 and went on to become certified to teach Gifted students from Maryville University. She taught English in France for a year after graduation.  She currently leads a small group of homeschool students through a self-written science curriulum once a week in addition to her own children every day of the week.

      In her precious free time, Mrs. Garnett enjoys the great outdoors, reading, and sewing.
