Mrs. Julia Grainger To All Instructors
My name is Afiqah Julia Grainger. Everyone calls me 'Julia.' My students call me 'Ms. Grainger.' I am a homeschooling mom to a 15-year-old teen. My husband and I lived in Kansas City for the last several years and moved to the St. Louis area last year. We love all the amazing things we can do and explore here!
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with minors in Biology and Mathematics. I am currently a substitute teacher in the Fort Zumwalt School District, located in the St. Charles County area. I have experience working as a Christian private school teacher for various subjects, including but not limited to Chemistry, Biology, and Algebra. I taught for a year at two schools before going into the Life Sciences Industry, where I worked in industrial food microbiology and chemistry labs. I also worked in a lab at a community college for some time. My most recent career was in the software industry, where I worked for 3.5 years. All of these experiences are a testament to my love of learning and sharing it with the next generation.
I have also been to five countries on three continents! My family and I enjoy traveling whenever we can, but we also appreciate spending time with our cats and trying new things in St. Louis and the surrounding areas.
