NOTE: The information below is for the month of October. Location will change after that.
Chess Club - Thursdays, October 1 and 15, 2:00-3:00 pm at the park.
Due to Covid-19, room availability and the number of participants are limited at the Salvation Army. So while the weather is nice, we plan to meet informally outdoors at Lemay Park, 236 Fannie Ave, Saint Louis, MO 63125.
Masks are optional.
Price is FREE! Just let Judy know that you will be coming by emailing her below
Important: Due to circumstances of being outside, it will be difficult to give instructions, so participants will need to already know how to play and will need to register once we switch to indoor times.
There will also be a participation waiver this year.

WHY IS CHESS IMPORTANT? Chess is a game for all people , the game helps to develop memory , improves concentration , develops concentration , imagination and creativity , chess teaches independence , chess develops the capability to predict and foresee consequences of actions , chess inspires self-motivation , chess shows that success rewards hard work , chess helps to facilitate critical thinking skills , chess improves school work and grades , you get to meet like-minded people , chess is an inexpensive game to play , and chess is entertaining .
