Mary also "shares"...

Here is some information about the Farm. The owner calls Klondike Farm a reinvention of the family beef farm.  After much consideration, they asked the question "What can we do with these 150 acres that had not been used since 1993?"

The youngest of the five siblings, Peggy Ladd, began to research raising bison, fearing the acreage was too small. The National Bison Association assisted her with the goal of raising bison.  The bison began arriving in the Fall of 2019.  Since then, they continue to make improvements in all aspects of their family farm - from the quality of the alfalfa hay that the bison eat all the way to processing.  They say they treat all the animals with love and respect, and each one has a name.

When I (Mary) met Peggy at the local farmers market, she told me the bison are quite calm. However, since we are visitors, there are some very important rules to follow for safety purposes, along with driving directions.

An explanation of rules for visiting the Farm will be sent closer to our visit. Also, please keep in mind that this is open country, so the land is a little rough and not what we're used to. Please dress appropriately and wear protective shoes. Boots, hikers, old athletic shoes. You get the idea. It's not a walk in the park.

And, yes, you can purchase products in advance or that day.
